Piston Provost 1960’s RAF Trainer

The Provost is powered by a 550 hp Alvis Leonides 126, 9-cylinder radial engine with a constant speed propeller and has a fixed undercarriage.

It is owned by a private group based at RNAS Yeovilton and has been regularly used over the last 15 years by pilots of the Royal Navy Historic Flight who use it as an intermediate tailwheel trainer.

Watch this fantastic display on Saturday and Sunday.
