Fantastic line up of displays on Weston Seafront.

We especially enjoyed a full display by the RAF Red Arrows and meeting Red 10. Plus our first visit from the incredible Typhoon which certainly woke up Weston-super-Mare.

Countdown to Weston Air Festival has begun

With just a day to go to the annual air festival in Weston-super-Mare, the final touches are being made to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever. The festival is one of the highlights of the summer calendar and last year’s event saw about 170,000 people pack the seafront. This year’s event takes place alongside the Armed Forces weekend and three nights of live music at the Tropicana.

The Red Arrows

With a trademark combination of close formation flying and dynamic loops and rolls, the Royal Air Force Red Arrows Aerobatic Team will return to the skies on Saturday at 14.10pm for the fourth year running.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic team The Red Arrows have deployed to Tenagra  in Greece to begin Exercise Springhawk. The exercise runs from the 18th March until 02th May in Greece, and will consist of the Red Arrows performing their 9 ship display three times a day over various datums in order fir the display to meet the high standards expected for the display season. The end of the exercise will be marked by the pilots being awarded Public Display Authority which will allow them to display in public and wear the iconic red suits.

RAF Eurofighter Typhoon

The RAF Typhoon makes its first appearance at Weston Air Festival this year on Saturday 12:30pm, wowing the crowds with it’s incredible display…. Be prepared as it’s extremely noisy!

The Sea Vixen holds the honour of being one of the fastest privately owned aircraft in Europe, capable of flying at supersonic speeds up to 690mph.

With only one airworthy aircraft left in the sky, Weston Air Festival is proud to present this outstanding flying machine on Sunday 19 June.
